The challenge
LottieFiles entrusted us with the creation of their new motion templates. After the designs were approved, we began the animation phase, optimizing each asset for multi-platform performance. By aligning with LottieFiles technical standards, we ensured our motion assets were responsive, lightweight, and production-ready.
LottieFiles offers unique features such as:
- State Machines: Enabling interactive animations without code.
- Motion Tokens: Modify animation properties without re-exporting.
While these new features presented technical challenges, we successfully adapted our workflow to master these tools.
We mastered State Machines logic and standardized Motion Tokens across every asset to deliver flexible and advanced assets that leveraged the latest LottieFiles technology.
Our approach
- 01
Brief & Style Direction
Kickoff call to lock platform requirements (iOS/Android/Web/RN), file-size budget, and motion style. Moodboard with motion references + easing curves approved before any animation work begins.
- 02
Production in After Effects
Built scene-by-scene in After Effects with shape layers only (no rasterization), physics-based easing, and Bodymovin-compatible expressions. Each scene delivered as a first-draft preview via LottieFiles for review.
- 03
Performance Optimization
Compressed via Bodymovin + dotLottie. Layer cleanup, trim irrelevant frames, ensure 60fps on low-end Android. File size verified against agreed budget.
- 04
Handoff & Implementation Notes
Final files packaged with implementation notes — naming conventions, recommended player config, autoplay/loop guidance, and platform-specific gotchas for iOS, Android, web, and React Native.
The result
“We also want to take a moment to genuinely appreciate the Creasheeps team's work. Not just our team, but the entire company has been truly impressed by the quality, consistency, and creativity your team has brought to this project. Your team's attention to detail and professionalism stood out at every stage. Working with the Creasheeps team has been an absolute pleasure. It honestly felt like collaborating with one of our own internal teams rather than an external partner—that's how seamlessly your team integrated with us. Your team's approach, communication, and commitment made a real impact, and we're grateful for it!”Krishna SethOutreaching Manager
What we learned
Most app teams treat motion as an afterthought — added at the end, optimized never. We started Creasheeps because the best products in the world don't work that way.
The animation in your onboarding, the micro-interaction on a button tap, the loader between screens — they're not decoration. They're the difference between an app that feels alive and one that feels generic.
We're a focused studio. We don't do logos, we don't do brand identity, we don't do websites. We make motion. Specifically: custom Lottie animations, vector illustration, 3D icons, and motion graphics — built for products that ship.
Every file we deliver is production-ready. Optimized. Documented. Built to be handed off to a dev team without a single follow-up email.
We produced a series of high-performance motion templates designed for various uses, resulting in professional-grade motion that is ready for deployment. To achieve this, every asset was meticulously crafted to maintain visual clarity while adhering to the technical requirements of their new features.
